"Qatar and Russia shoul be stripped of the World Cup"

Fortunately there are still journalists who are not afraid of telling the truth:

To hell with diplomatic repercussions; every tournament awarded by Fifa must now be re-allocated or boycotted. To do otherwise would be to endorse or condone near-total corruption.
It is unlikely that Vladimir Putin will unashamedly make the opening ceremony to Russia’s 2018 World Cup a celebration of the annexation of Crimea, or an interpretative dance sequence commemorating the supply of surface-to-air military equipment that resulted in the deaths of 298 people when MH17 was shot down. But the event has clearly been purchased for the further glorification of a president more deserving of the attention of the International Court of Justice than the world’s sporting community.

Putin´s Russia and FIFA: "A perfect alliance of sleaze"

Rhyu Spaeth on Putin´s Russia and FIFA:

"The fact is that if FIFA were a country, instead of merely a corrupt international sporting organization, it would look a lot like Russia."

"Lies upon lies, systems of greed, hilariously quixotic vanity projects — all the hallmarks of deeply embedded corruption are apparent in both Putin's Russia and Blatter's FIFA."

Blatter had to go. The next one should be Vladimir Putin ...

Finally Americans realize that George W. Bush was a better president than leftist media led them to believe

This comes as no suprise: A new survey finds that more Americans view former President George W. Bush favorably than President Obama.

Bush deserves this favourable rating. He was a much better president than the worldwide leftist media lead people to believe.

The CNN/ORC poll reveals that 52 percent of Americans see Bush positively, while 43 percent do not.
In contrast, U.S. voters are split on their views of Obama.
The new poll finds that 49 percent view Obama favorably, while 49 percent do not.
Those ratings for Obama are down from a similar poll in March. During that sampling, 52 percent of Americans viewed him positively, while another 46 percent did not.
Bush’s numbers, meanwhile, mark a major shift for the former president since he departed office in early 2009, CNN said.
It noted that back then, Bush received a favorability rating from roughly one third of those surveyed.
Bush’s favorability, CNN added, has remained below the 50-percent threshold most of the time since his presidency.
Just one year ago, it said, the former president had a 46-percent favorability rating. Another 51 percent, however, still viewed Bush unfavorably.
Bush’s new score reflects more positive views of him across a wide variety of groups.

Former Uefa president: England should be given the 2018 World Cup instead of mafia state Russia

Of course former Uefa president Johansson is right. The dictator of the mafia state called Russia, Vladimir Putin, should be denied the games due to massive corruption:

England should be given the 2018 World Cup instead of Russia, the former Uefa president Lennart Johansson has said.
Johansson, who lost the 1998 Fifa presidential election to Sepp Blatter, says the 2018 and 2022 World Cup awards should be reviewed in the light of the new corruption charges.
Johansson, 85, speaking after seven Fifa officials including two vice-presidents were arrested by police in Zurich for extradition to the USA, told the Swedish newspaper Sportbladet: “I expect they will reconsider the [World Cup] decisions. Blatter himself has said that the decision to go east wasn’t proper. I am sure the initiative will now be taken to make a new decision.
“England haven’t had it since 1966 and it’s considered ‘the motherland of football’, whatever we might think. They are worthy of the attention.”

Russian novelist Mikhail Shishkin on Putin

"It is impossible to imagine Putin, the gray little KGB colonel, with a book in his hands."

CNN declares "war on climate change"

CNN has published this piece of garbage by Juliette Kayyem, who is said to be a "CNN National Security Analyst":

Skeptics of these global seismic shifts are not simply denying science, they are denying safety and security. Until we recognize -- with the immediacy we would if a nation launched missiles against our cities -- that climate change isn't something that can be debated, but must be mitigated or, failing that, adapted to, we will not expend the effort or resources to prepare ourselves to the one phenomenon that we know is coming: simply, the waters are rising and this is a war.

No wonder that CNN has been loosing a large part of its audience!

Victory for David Cameron: EU Commission President Juncker now opposes "ever closer Union"!

Juncker now opposes "ever closer Union"

"People feel that the EU is heading in a direction that they never signed up to. They resent the interference in our national life by what they see as unnecessary rules and regulation. And they wonder what the point of it all is. Put simply, many ask 'why can't we just have what we voted to join - a common market?"

David Cameron

"I'm ready to be insulted as being insufficiently democratic, but I want to be serious ... I am for secret, dark debates"

Jean-Claude Juncker

Sweet victory for David Cameron!

In a major speech to be given in London next week, EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will admit that Cameron is right; The European Union should give up its goal of "ever closer Union".

Juncker and Cameron have met several times in secret in order to discuss Cameron´s Europe agenda. During these meetings Cameron was able to convince Juncker that the EU should return to its original concept - a primarily free trade organisation without any ambitions to grow into a federation.

Juncker and Cameron are planning to introduce their new plan for Europe at an EU summit to be held in Brussels in May. Several EU leaders have already announced their support for the Cameron-Juncker plan.

The reason for this unexpected turnaround is, according to a source who has been involved in the discussions, the growing opposition against the present German dominated model of the Union. A UK led loose free trade area is in the present circumstances much more appealing to many of the present member countries.

The new Cameron-Juncker plan would bring an additional much welcomed benefit: The number of EU bureaucrats could be reduced from the present 170,000 to about 7,000.
