US President Barack Obama thinks that "large parts of this Earth" will become uninhabitable in "our lifetimes" if global warming is not reduced. The average life expectancy in the US is about 79 years ( 78.8 in 2012), which, considering that Obama was born in 1961, means that large parts of the Earth would be uninhabitable as soon as 2040.
We all know that there has been no global warming for almost nineteen years now. This means that there has to be a hell of a lot of warming during the next 25 years to make "large parts of this Earth" uninhabitable by 2040! Does Obama really believe in this rubbish? I do not think so, but he surely thinks that this kind of scaremongering makes him popular among greenies and other "progressive" global warming believers.

I don't think he believes it either. Nobody does, it's something people say when broadcasting their politically correct credentials.
He's blind. A large part of the earth is already uninhabitable - Antarctica, most of Greenland, anyplace that is covered by ice and snow. Another part of the earth that is uninhabitable is the 70% or so that is covered by water. A lot more would become uninhabitable if we went through another ice age - but not by "global warming".
What he refers to as "dirty fossil fuels" has made us one of the cleanest nations on earth.
If it weren't for "dirty fossil fuel" we'd all still be walking around in the horse manure from that particular transportation source - and cattle manure as well since they used to drive cattle through cities to stock yards. He needs to watch some good old fashioned 50's tv shows like Rawhide, but even those shows didn't show the full extent of the road apples and cow patties that people had to deal with.
Obama is a left-wing ideologue who doesn't give a darn about the science. He wants to feed his narcissistic ego by appearing to be a climate-change hero on the world stage, and "burnish" his legacy. Same reason he officially nixed Keystone just before the Paris summit. Give him his due, though – Obama is a masterful demagogue.
