Global warming causes armed robbery, prostitution, drug abuse and lack of quality time in Ghana

The climate change/global warming (indoctrination) programs, financed by the European Union, the United Nations and other "stakeholders" are beginning to show results in Africa. Modern Ghana reports that climate change is now creating "deviant behaviors" such as "armed robbery, prostitution, and drug abuse" among the youth in Ghana:

We observed during a tour in the community that Farm lands have been destroyed due to the main river of the community overflowing its banks. Crops such as Cassava, Yam, Cocoyam, and Plantain are unable to be harvested. Thus the youth including young women have become jobless and are forced to engage in deviant behaviors such as armed robbery, prostitution, and drug abuse as means of survival.

The disappearance of parents´ quality time with children is also blamed on climate change/global warming:

Parents no longer have quality time with their children thereby not able to inculcate in their children the necessary values and principles needed to forming the right attitude in life. When children become wayward, their actions and/or inactions may be detrimental to society. Women are tasked with the pain of walking several kilometers to access water for domestic chores. Husbands may not be willing to devote all the needed support and care that their wives deserve in the name of striving for survival.

The fact that people in developing countries have learnt to blame almost all their problems on global warming/climate change - and to demand billions of dollars and euros as "compensation" - seems to be the only lasting result of the myriad of  EU, UN and US climate change programs in the third world. Unfortunately, the Ghanese and other people are going to be disappointed. The leaders of the western industrialized countries are still talking "the global warming talk", but many of them already realize (in private) that the entire "project" was a huge and costly mistake, that should be buried and forgotten. Their problem now is, of course, how to deal with the situation without loosing face. That probably means that the "climate change show" will still go on for some time, but - luckily - mainly on a verbal level. Even then, the costs for ordinary taxpayers are going to be astronomical ... 

Planning of the UN multibillion dollar climate money machine to start

At the UN climate change meeting in Cancun the leaders of the "developed" countries committed their countries to "a goal of mobilizing jointly USD 100 billion per year by 2020" to "developing" countries, all in the name of fighting imaginary human induced "climate change".

The countries on the receiving end - and of course the UN climate change bureaucracy - are now pressing full steam ahead in order to organize the massive money transfer, which could be a real bonanza for many of the world´s less than democratic governments and dictators.

The UNFCCC has proudly announced the names of the 40 people, who will start planning the bureaucracy needed for the money transfers:

Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) have agreed the selection of the forty members who will be entrusted with the task of designing the Green Climate Fund, the new institution which will manage long-term finance mobilized to enable developing countries to address climate change.

The by far greatest future payer, the US, has chosen Assistant Secretary for International Markets and Development, Marisa Lago as its representative in the Green Fund planning group. She will have the pleasant duty to locate the billions annually to be paid from the Treasury´s empty coffers.

The good news:
It is almost certain that the developing countries are in for a great disappointment. It is higly unlikely that they will receive the annual 100 billions from 2020 on; even the UN press release talks about the "goal" of 100 billion per year. As we all know, a "goal" is not a firm commitment. But even 10 billions would be a waste of taxpayers´ money!

Ronald Reagan - a great American

Ronald Reagan - once so despised and ridiculed by "progressive" European leaders, journalists and "intellectuals" - would have been 100 on February 6. This weekend there will be a great number of articles about the centenary in newspapers all over the world. I will only refer to one of them, written by the veteran Washington Post journalist Lou Cannon, author of several books on Reagan:

On the eve of Ronald Reagan's election as president of the United States in 1980, a radio reporter asked him what it was that Americans saw in him. Reagan hesitated and then replied: "Would you laugh if I told you that I think maybe they see themselves and that I'm one of them?"

Thirty years and four presidents later, Americans still see themselves in Reagan. In a Gallup poll in 2009 they ranked Reagan as the best president, just ahead of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy.
This highly generous assessment is based on more than likeability. Reagan left the world safer and the United States more prosperous than he found it. Even some liberal scholars who disdained Reagan when he was in the White House now acknowledge his effectiveness as a leader, especially his role in ending the Cold War. Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, his partner in that enterprise, said at Reagan's funeral that the U.S. president was "an extraordinary political leader" who had "decided to be a peacemaker."

Reagan was at once a man of conviction who thought seriously about the great issues of his time and an ordinary American, never braggy, who treated his audiences -- all of us, really -- with consideration and respect. His greatest single quality was his self-deprecating humor, which came naturally to him and was honed into an effective political weapon. He made fun of his age, his work habits, his vanities, his ideology, his alleged lack of intelligence, and his supposed domination by his wife. When he was speaking to a political rally in Florida and a wind blew his speaking cards off a podium, Reagan picked them up, shuffled them together, and quipped that it really didn't matter what order they were in. When a reporter during the first gubernatorial campaign brought Reagan a studio picture showing him with the title chimpanzee in the movie "Bedtime for Bonzo," Reagan signed it and wrote, "I'm the one with the watch." On Air Force One he signed a picture of a sleeping Marlin Fitzwater, his press secretary, with the inscription, "Marlin, we're only supposed to do this at cabinet meetings."
