Earth Hour 2016 organizers urge people to "shine a light"!

Soon it is again time for the annual madness called the "Earth Hour". This year the campaign slogan seems to be "Shine a light on climate action". That´s really a good one - On the evening of March 19, I will most certainly switch on all available lights in order shine a light on the global warming hoax!

The WWF has four times more money to spend than "Big Oil" American Petroleum Institute

The Greenpeace fleet includes the state of the art yacht Rainbow Warrior III.

Envirofundamentalist organizations such as Greenpeace and the WWF often like to talk about the enormous sums Big Oil has at its disposal to counteract their activities. But a comparison done by American University professor Matthew Nisbet shows that the revenues generated by the American Petroleum Institute (API), the largest U.S trade association for the oil and natural gas industry, pale in comparison with such organizations as Greenpeace and the WWF

In 2011 the World Wildlife Federation Network generated US$800 million, four times more than the API ($203 million). Greenpeace also clearly beat the API with revenues almost the double:

Even more relevant are the figures reported for Greenpeace Worldwide, which according to the annual report represents the combined budget of Greenpeace International and its affiliated national and regional organizations. In this case, Greenpeace brought in global revenues of €241 million (US$336 million) and spent approximately €159 million on program activities (US$221 million) and €77 million on fundraising (US$107 million) across countries.-

Greenpeace global revenue also compares well to that of major U.S. industry associations which we commonly think of as having inconceivably large budgets. Consider that in 2009, the American Petroleum Institute generated $203 million in revenue and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce $214 million in revenue from its industry members.

Germans are contributing most to Greenpeace funding, but the Dutch are the leading per capita donors.

At the global level, Greenpeace employs nearly 2,200 staff, with 1,039 based in Europe and 314 in the U.S and Canada. As displayed in this graph from its annual report, Germany is the leading source of the organization’s worldwide fundraising followed by the U.S., Netherlands, and Switzerland.
As big in scope as Greenpeace Worldwide might be, it still is smaller than at least one other multi-national environmental organizations. Consider that in 2011, the World Wildlife Federation Network, which includes the U.S. based World Wildlife Federation and affiliates in 80 other countries, generated €575 million in revenue (US$800 million) and employed 5,000 staff worldwide.[3]

Burglars busy planning 2013 Earth Hour activities

Tools for Earth Hour activities.

Representatives for the only group of people worldwide actually benefiting from the Earth Hour, are reportedly busy with the final planning and preparations for their 2013 Earth Hour activities.

The Earth Hour organizers and their followers in the western MSM have chosen not to report on these activities, but the police director in Davao in the Philippines volunteered this:

"Even when the lights are on at home these robbers still manage to do their thing. How much more if the lights are off"

De la Rosa also appealed to residents to avoid wearing jewelries, or bringing valuable stuffs outside their house if it is unnecessary so as not to attract the attention of criminal elements.

De la Rosa reminded everyone on the danger of attracting thieves during the Earth Hour, citing previous cases of robbery, theft and burglary victimizing unattended houses where the inhabitants are all busy with their personal schedules.
No wonder then that burglars and other criminals, who for the time being happen to be behind bars, are eagerly embracing this annual celebration of darkness:
“Earth Hour +”, the 60-minute world-wide observance of cutting down on fossil fuel use, has become a tradition of sorts for inmates of the Baguio city jail.

As cities around the world prepare to plunge in darkness for at least an hour beginning 8:30 p.m. of March 23, the prisoners and their guards plan to switch off an hour earlier to keep their four-year record of going at least two hours.

"The largest Earth Hour celebration in Canada" cancelled

Great news from The True North

The lights go out for "the largest Earth Hour celebration in Canada".

The Barrie Earth Hour Music Festival has been cancelled. The event was to take place on March 23, but organizers say they do not have sufficient funding to continue.

May this positive development inspire misled Earth Hour sponsors in all other countries, which have been infested by this bogus festival of darkness!

Heaviest snowfall in a century in Moscow - WWF blames global warming

Moscow has seen the heaviest snowfall in a century, the Moscow Times reports:

The heaviest snowfall in a century brought Moscow and the surrounding region to a near standstill and left hundreds of people without power, officials said Tuesday.
And with snowfall set to continue at least until the end of the week, the authorities are bracing for more chaos on the roads.
"There hasn't been such a winter in 100 years," Pyotr Biryukov, deputy mayor for residential issues, said Tuesday in comments carried by Interfax. "The snow this year has already reached one and a half times the climatic norm," he said.
The capital has seen 216 centimeters of snow fall since the beginning of winter, Biryukov said.
Average snowfall in Moscow is 152 centimeters a year. Biryukov said the city saw 26 centimeters in the 24 hours preceding his Tuesday afternoon news conference and has seen 36 centimeters since the beginning of February.
The heavy snowfall that struck the city Monday quickly led to chaos on the roads. The Yandex Probki traffic monitoring service reached a full 10 points, and on Monday evening it issued the seldom-seen warning that "it's quicker to walk."

It comes as no surprise that WWF Russia blames the exceptional winter weather on global warming:

"The weather we've seen in the past couple of days completely fits with the tendency that was identified a couple of years ago, that we are going to to see much stronger, intensive bursts of precipitation in the future," said Alexei Kokorin, director of the climate and energy program at WWF Russia. "In the summer, we will probably see stronger bursts of rain."

The warmists make it easy for themselves; whatever weather we experience, it always is due to global warming!
